What are we trying to accomplish?

At Bethel Evangelical Free Church our mission is to "Glorify God by Making Disciples and Moving Them to Christlikeness." In other words, that means we want to help people love God and one another as we bring Christ into our world. The specific goal of this campaign is to provide everyone an opportunity to actively participate in God's work in the local community, the region and around the world.

There are financial objectives - it will take money to do some of the things we feel are necessary - but the ultimate goal is for Bethel to be a place where its attenders and members are fully engaged. Our heart is where every adult, every teen and every child will ask God to show them what they can do to "Catch the Vision" during this three-year campaign.

What physical changes will be made?

Watch people in a crowded movie theater and you'll understand why church growth experts tell us congregations "top out" when the worship centers are 80% full on Sunday. People are not comfortable when they are forced to sit in crowded facilities. So, part of the plan for "Catch the Vision" is the expansion of the Worship Center and construction of a new Education Center.

We need to make room for people who will be attracted to the fellowship, discipleship and God-driven purpose that will result from a "fully-engaged" community of believers serving God in every way they can. As attendance increases in response to that movement, we will need space for people to meet and to be equipped for service. The primary goal of campaign is not to build buildings and knock out walls, but the reality is that a newer, expanded facility will draw more people and we'll need more room for them to work and grow.

How can I participate?

This campaign - "Catch the Vision" - represents a Significant Financial Challenge for Bethel. Our Miracle Goal is $2.2 million which will enable us to build all phases of the project. These dollars are over and above our normal gifts to the operating budget. Our Victory Goal Is $1,100,000. This is the approximate cost of the first phase of the project, the sanctuary, nursery, and administrative office remodeling. Some of the ministry initiatives will begin sooner than others but the entire amount is necessary to make this complete vision realized.

If you are a friend, attendee, or member of Bethel Evangelical Free Church, we are asking you to prayerfully consider making a three-year commitment toward this important goal. It is going to require sacrificial giving from each of us to achieve the objective we believe God has set before the Bethel community. He is asking us to do great things in His name, and to glorify Him by accomplishing more than we ever thought possible!

Working together with God's help each of us can make a difference over a three-year period.
