Bruce Dick

Senior Pastor

I was raised not far from Devils Lake, near the little farm town of Munich, population 300. I grew up on a farm, loving the life if not the hard work. I attended Grace University and Dallas Seminary in the 80’s and returned to the family farm in 1985 where, for 12 years, I farmed with my extended family, doing pulpit supply and youth work. In 1997, God called us here to Bethel, the first and only church in which I have served, first as Bethel’s first Associate Pastor and then as Senior Pastor. I was married in 1992 to Trudy and God has blessed us with four children, Mikaela (UND in PT school), Landon (NDSU for Ag Econ), Chandler (NDSU studying Architecture) and Sasha (8th grade).

Nathan Palatsky

Worship & Next Gen Pastor

Hi. I’m Nathan and I’m the Next Generation and Worship Pastor at Bethel. I’m originally from Los Angeles, but my story includes stops in Russia, California, the U.S. Marine Corps, central Nebraska and now Devils Lake, North Dakota since 2014. My wife’s name is Mackenzie and we were married in 2013. I grew up playing baseball, and follow every relevant professional sport. I’m patriotic, extroverted, and I love hanging out with teenagers (anyone really). So if you see me around town, or you happen to pass the church during the week and have a minute, please feel free to come say hello!

Dave Fix

Pastor of Rural Church Ministry

Dave was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. and was raised in the Glenshaw area (North of Pittsburgh).  After High School he enlisted in the United States Navy and trained as a Dental Technician as well as a Field Medic. He married his wife, Patricia, in 1962 and they were blessed with three children, two girls and a boy. After stops in Missouri and Fairdale, ND, Dave was hired and completed training as a patrol officer and eventually detective in Devils Lake. In 2000 he left law enforcement to manage the Sanitation Department until 2008.  Prior to retirement from the City of Devils Lake, he was installed as Pastor of Rural Church Ministry, where he has served as shepherd and advisor to Bethel’s rural church partners since.

Bryce Harcey

Senior Associate Pastor

Hi everyone! I’m so glad that God has led me to this community and to BEFC. My family moved here in August of 2016. Gina and I married in 2004 and we have 3 sons: Stanley, Timothy, and Henry. Gina and I enjoy the great outdoors, a good book, and a fresh cup of coffee. Our favorite pastime is simply getting together with friends and family to talk about Jesus and how he transforms every area of life.
I’m excited to see Devils Lake impacted to the glory of God through the ministry of BEFC. My role at Bethel is to coordinate the training and equipping of the church for greater discipleship and evangelism, supporting and coaching ministry leaders to their full potential, and ensuring the ministry is running as effectively as possible by God’s grace. I look forward to making Devils lake home and getting to know people from all walks of life.
