A devoted Jew in the Old Testament brought regular sacrifices to the tabernacle. A devoted priest in the Old Testament ventured so far as the Holy Place to perform their duties in accordance with the law. Today, every disciple of Jesus finds themselves personally invited into the Holy of Holies on a daily basis. How do we pray different – and inevitably, live different – because of that invitation? Join us Sunday, 9:30am for “Behind the Curtain.” You can find the prayer bookmark tool for the series here.

Happy New Year!

In the Old Testament, everyone had to regularly bring animal sacrifices as payment for their sins. They entered the tabernacle’s outer court with thanksgiving and praise (Psalm 100:4) and were confronted with the brazen altar for those sacrifices. This week in “Death But Not Ours” (Part 2 of our series A Devoted Life), we are going to consider sin and its consequences. Why are those sacrifices no longer necessary for atonement? And how does that impact the way we talk to God?

COVID-19 INFORMATION
We are rolling back the precaution level to Low, beginning this Sunday. What does this mean? Youth, Awana, and Sunday School will resume in full swing. For the 9:30 Worship Service, masks are recommended but not required. The physical barriers in the sanctuary rows have been removed but ask that you maintain physical distance between groups. NEW SERMON SERIES, A DEVOTED LIFE
This Sunday we start a new sermon series called “A Devoted Life.” Everyone desires to live a meaningful and joyful life. But all too often, the burdens of life keep us from the blessings God has for us. Join us as we discover what it means to pursue A Devoted Life as we head into 2021.

COVID-19 INFORMATION
We are continuing to monitor COVID-19. If the trend continues in the right direction, we anticipate rolling back the precaution level from Moderate with Masks to Low, beginning January 3rd. What does this mean? Youth, Awana, and Sunday School will resume in full swing after the Christmas break. For the 9:30 worship service, masks will be recommended (not required) when physical distancing is not possible. We will be removing the physical barriers in the sanctuary rows but ask that you maintain physical distance between groups. Continue to follow basic precautions when in the church facility. If you have a fever or flu-like symptoms, stay home. Wash your hands regularly. Be respectful of others’ space. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We will continue to monitor the situation and adjust as needed. We look forward to returning to a “new normal” in 2021!

YEAR END GIVING
The end of the year is upon us and it has been a difficult year. Please pray for the church finances as we approach the end of the year. Currently, giving is approximately $14,000 behind our expenses for the year. Please consider a year end gift. Thank you for your financial support!
