July 12

The purpose of this digital liturgy is to walk yourself, your family, or a small group through a simple, gospel-based worship liturgy from where ever you are. It will feature some of the elements we would normally have during a Sunday Gathering. Pick someone to do the prayers and readings or take turns…the main thing is to participate in, and renew your heart in worship.

Call to Worship
This week’s call to worship reminds us of the King’s eternal worthiness. He will forever be worthy of our praise.

Revelations 4:6-11

And around the throne, on each side of the throne, are four living creatures, full of eyes in front and behind: 7 the first living creature like a lion, the second living creature like an ox, the third living creature with the face of a man, and the fourth living creature like an eagle in flight. 8 And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say,

“Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty,
who was and is and is to come!”
9 And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

11 “Worthy are you, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they existed and were created.”

Today’s Scripture: Jude 1-16

Scripture is constantly telling believers to be peacemakers, to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us, to answer evil with good and give to anyone who asks… So when the Bible tells us to contend, to wrestle or struggle, it stands out. Jude’s letter is written urgently, with warning and a call to contend!

OFFERING

At Bethel, we see offering as an act of worship. We know the way in which God has purposed the local church to be a light of the gospel. May we trust in the Lord’s provision during this time, for our individual needs and also for our church’s needs. You can give online at bethelfree.com/give or by mail.
