Perhaps for many believers, the most frustrating part of their Christian life is their prayer life. We seek divine intervention, and we wonder why it doesn’t work. It’s frustrating. Frustrating because it seems like prayer should be the most powerful thing we can do, and yet we are so weak. Frustrating because it seems like praying ought to be so fulfilling, and yet we are left empty. This week we will see that for prayer to be fulfilling instead of frustrating, we must recognize that fulfilling prayer is based on relationship. Join us this Sunday at 9:30am as Pastor David starts a new sermon series based on the Lord’s Prayer.

END OF YEAR GIVING STATEMENTS
Giving statements are in your church mailboxes. If you don’t have a mailbox, they have been mailed to the address that we have in our database. Thank you for your faithful giving to God’s work at Bethel Church!

CONNECTION HOUR
Children and youth Sunday School classes continue this Sunday at 11am.

NEW ADULT CLASS
Beginning next Sunday at 11am, Pastor David will be leading a verse-by-verse, expositional study of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. While that may sound confusing, the truth is the Revelation is simpler than most people think.

REGION’S LARGEST BABY SHOWER
Women’s Care Center will be hosting the Region’s Largest Baby Shower during the month of January. A board is set up in the lobby with tags that list an item to purchase. Take a tag, shop, and return to Bethel or Women’s Care Center. These items will restock their Crib Club. Women’s Care Center families will be able to “purchase” these items using the coupons that they have earned. For more information, call 662-2229.

MEMBERSHIP
Just a reminder, as we go through the Pastoral Search Process, only members of Bethel will be voting on the next Lead Pastor. If Bethel is your home and you desire to participate in the process but are not a member, please pick up a membership application in the lobby and turn it in to an Elder or the church office.

CONNECT BIBLE FELLOWSHIP
Adults 50 and over, join us on the first and third Wednesday at 2pm for a meaningful time of study and fellowship in the Connection Room. We’re continuing our study of “Everything You Need” by Dr. David Jeremiah.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT PROGRAMS
Parents and children are invited to participate in Awana (Kindergarten-6th grade) and The Underground Youth Group (7th-12th grade) Wednesdays at 6:30pm. These are great opportunities for families to grow in their relationship with the Lord and the knowledge of God’s Word, while enjoying fellowship with others.
