Building Fences and Raising Bars

In Galatians, Paul spends the first four chapters proving that the Law has no place in our lives. Now in the last part of the book, he will show us what it means to live by Grace instead of by the Law. Paul starts off in 5:1-12 by creating three different word pictures to express the danger that we will be in if we try to live by the Law instead of by Grace. It is the danger for anyone who thinks he has to work for and earn God’s approval.
